I absolutely love having Kwan's Chinese restaurant within walking distance of my house. I can order take out, walk to the restaurant, pay and walk out with some delicious food for an inexpensive cost. I find the owners always friendly, courteous and happy to see me.
The taste and quality and quantity of the food is always great and still hot when I get it home.
When I choose to eat at Kwan's they have beer and wine available.
It is so nice to have a restaurant in our neighborhood that is reasonably priced and good for a quick meal on a night that I don't feel like cooking or am just craving Chinese food.
Thanks Kwan's! -

We were VERY disappointed. I ordered beef lo mein and it was more lettuce than anything else. Then, my little bone found a SHARD of bone in his...a big chunk of bone and he almost choked. I reached out privately to the restaurant and they did not even bother to respond.

We went here based on memories of Kwan's in the past. Not having those memories, I don't have anything to compare it to, but my dining companion left feeling disappointed. Apparently, Kwan's has changed... a lot.
For me, the food was okay. Just that. Yes, it was food, and yes, it was prepared properly. However, there was nothing special or unique about it, and while the service was good, the food itself was not memorable. -

I've dined in and ordered take out from Kwan's several times. The food and service have consistently been great! The 2 owners are very friendly and know many of their customers by name. Several of their dishes are family recipes--not the same old same old MSG ridden Chinese food that tastes the same wherever you go. Their portions are very generous--on more than one occasion, the take out box is stuffed so full that it is staples closed! I have tried (& love) the cream cheese wontons, fried spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, moo goo gai pan, hot & sour soup, beef & broccoli, combination fried rice, combination lo main, pho, Kung Lao chicken, chicken cashew...there's no way I can pick my favorite!! Support a local small business--these are good people and they make great Chinese food!

Woman was friendly upon entering the store, I sometimes fumble while ordering and she navigated that pretty well also.
I ordered a General Tso's combo with fried rice and an egg roll. I also added wontons and a coke. Reasonably priced.
When the wontons came, they weren't anything special, but definitely not the worst I've had.
The General Tso's was however some of the best I've had in my recent memory. The Coca-Cola was exceptionally top-notch as well(was it imported? Either way, fancy).
7/10 would recommend.
